Holiday 1: Based on Royal Deeside this holiday is bookable as non-residential allowing you book your own accommodation to suit your requirements. We can of course book this for you. Please see the accommodation section for details of recommended accommodation. The guide for this holiday will be Steve Willis. Steve is our Head Naturalist and has a wealth of experience in leading this type of holiday. You will be in the best hands. You will be exploring the various habitats to be found on Royal Deeside from pastureland, forest, moorland, open low hill ground and high-level mountain. All of this provides a valuable resource to enable you to witness some of the Highlands iconic species.

Holiday 2: This holiday is in partnership with Balmoral Estates and will explore the Queens highland estate. The roar of Red Deer rutting on the hillside, majestic Golden Eagles soaring high above the mountain tops, flocks of Snow Buntings like snowflakes fluttering across the meadows are just some of the things which make this holiday unforgettable.

This Balmoral Wildlife Walking Holiday aims to enjoy the natural wonders of the Balmoral Estate, in the very heart of the Cairngorms National Park, whilst introducing you to the many species that make Balmoral Estate their home.

This is a chance to really experience the wonder of nature and with the help of your guide get to fully appreciate the vast array of animal species which make the Cairngorms and Balmoral their home.

The dates for 2008 are 8th to the 12th November 2008 and are based in the Queens Buildings. The guide for this holiday will be Alan Melrose, owner and Director of WalkDeeside Ltd.

Please remember that all animals that you can see are wild and unfortunately can be quite elusive. Their senses are a lot more tuned than ours and most of these animals are very timid. We can provide you with the best possible opportunity of seeing wild animals using our local knowledge of location and the time of year but obviously cannot guarantee this 100%! We hope you understand and will have a memorable day whatever the outcome.
